Looking for your next great Brisbane eat? Look no further than hearty burgers and cold beers at Chur Burger.
The legendary Chur Burger located in Fortitude Valley’s funky TRYP Hotel is the sibling of the Surry Hills restaurant of the same name in Sydney. Chur Burger came to fruition through one simple vision; owner Warren Turnbull’s love for burgers, and his creation was named best burger in the Sydney Morning Herald after only six weeks of trading.
The hip little eatery is tucked into an alleway adorned with street art and crowds are constantly spilling out onto the pavement eagerly awaiting a table.
The grilled beef burger with lashings of melted cheese, tomato jam, pickles and dripping in mustard mayonnaise is definitely worth a try. Then again the marinated, grilled chicken burger with a generous helping of hot sauce mayonnaise and plenty of minted slaw is pretty hard to go past.
If you are a lover of a good pork belly dish then look no further than the crispy pork belly burger with chilli caramel, slaw and aioli which is said to be Chur’s signature burger. To accompany your mouthwatering Chur burger chow down on some chilli salted chips or some incredibly chunky sweet potato fires with aioli.
It’s not just about the burgers though- perhaps buttermilk fried onion rings, southern fried chicken wings are more your jam. Hot sauce lovers out there will be pleased to find each table supplies not only tomato and mustard, but six different types of hot sauce. From jalapeño and kiwi, to a classic BBQ chipotle.
Chur Burger doesn’t take bookings but they assure that tables turn over quickly.
Drop by Chur Burger from 7am to 10pm Sunday to Thursday and 7am to 12am on Fridays and Saturdays.
