Following its much hyped launch back in March, The Foundry slipped into a quietly vegetative state as it was closed for a structural construction issue. Returning with a grand re-opening on August 20, The Foundry 2.0 brings with it the announcement of a monthly club night christened Pesci’s.
Rumour had long circulated about the multi-purpose space and creative hub developing in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley; the stripped out four walls and ceiling of an old backpacker’s hostel designed to channel an ever-growing stream of Brisbane musical talent into something distinctly palpable.
With an additional cunning title:
“Oh, ‘The Foundry?’ As in like, it makes things? Nice.”
Brisbane’s music scene is about to receive a new addition to its list, The Foundry.Â A performing arts venue and creative hub with a hostel that will give inspiring musos direct contact with booking agents, community radio, managers and recording space.
