There is also the option to join the last three kilometre walk. The influx of runners at the end of the event symbolises the light and hope for those suffering at the hands of domestic violence. Australian of the year Rosie Batty will be speaking and will officially start the race. The organisation is also looking for volunteers to guide runners throughout the night.
