Top 5 Brisbane thrift stores

If you’re dying to go shopping before university starts again but have zero funds after buying textbooks, then thrift shopping is your greatest friend.
Whether you’re after some sweet basics, high end bargains or a totally impractical fur coat, Brisbane thrift shops will have you covered.
These buildings that you always thought were a little bit dingy and daggy are actually full of hidden gems.
As someone who frequently visits Brisbane thrift stores, I believe I’m more than qualified to give you some inside knowledge on the greatest places to get lost in.
1.    RSPCA Op Shop Sherwood
This sprawling op shop is full of mega bargains if you’re willing to trawl through heaps of junk to find it.
My favourite finds here include a Rag & Bone Jumper and a Zimmerman top.
There is a section dedicated to designer goods and also a huge wall of amazing secondhand accessories and shoes!
RSPCA Op Shop: Shop 7A, 637 Sherwood Rd
(Corner of Oxley Rd) Sherwood.
2.    Vinnies PaddingtonÂ
If you’re in the market for an evening dress, then this is your place!
Make your way upstairs to the more formal sections and you will see rows of hanging fur jackets, sparkly dresses and designer shoes (did someone say Jimmy Choo?)
What’s more appealing is that everything is ridiculously cheaply priced – I bought a Mulberry clutch from here for under $20.
St Vincent De Paul Paddington: Foresters Hall, 16 Latrobe Tce Paddington
3.    Endeavour Foundation Paddington
This cute converted house is full of legit vintage goods.
Think denim dresses, crazy 80’s printed shirts, an amazing array of jewellery and 50’s style dresses.
Endeavour’s prices are a tad more expensive than usual, but you can rejoice in the fact that all of their apparel is great quality and worth the extra few dollars.
Endeavour Paddington: 29-31 Latrobe Tce, Paddington
4.    RSPCA OP Shop New Farm
After you have brunch on a Sunday morning in New Farm, walk down the road to find this gem of a store.
You’ll find not only clothing but also a great range of vintage china, rad video games from the 90’s, random pieces of furniture and homewares.
Their rapid turnover of stock means you’ll find something new every visit!
New Farm RSPCA: Corner of Merthyr Rd and Lamington St, New Farm
5.    Revamp Fashions Brisbane CBD
For those of us with a some extra funds, venture into the city and have a peek around this little glass box.
They stock only designer brands (think Max Mara, Chanel, Sass & Bide, Maison Scotch etc) for a quarter of their original price.
You’ll find upmarket shoes, coats, evening gowns, clutches and casual wear.
Be prepared to spend a few hundred dollars if you walk into this store or walk out crying because you still can’t afford anything!
Revamp Fashions: Blocksidge & Ferguson Arcade, 144 Adelaide St, CBD
Have fun trawling through the racks and finding your own amazing pieces!
