5 Reasons To Go To Riverlife’s Winterfest

Brisbanites this coming Ekka Wednesday the ‘peoples day’ holiday, instead of joining all the crowds down to the Ekka show why not escape them and head to picturesque Kangaroo Point for Winterfest. Have a seat, relax and sip on your spiced rum or mulled wine while you listen to some great music all while watching the sunset.

On the 13th of August, Winterfest part of Riverlife, light up their lanterns, turn on their gas stoves and prepare their hot and spicy rum for a celebratory winter night that will warm-up your hands.

Here in Brisbane it is rare that we get to experience what the winter fuss is all about, so that’s why Winterfest will bring you 5 great reasons to choose it over the Ekka.

Number one:

Mulled Wine everyone!!

Who doesn’t like a sneaky hot wine, or even a spicy rum! This is what winter is all about guys! This years Wintefest will have mulled wine and spiced rum bars… yum!

From the acoustic, to folk to pop, there’s something for all of us at this years Winterfest. Perfomers will be playing on the stunning deck of the boathouse-style heated venue. If that isn’t your fancy, then you can check out the catwalk show that will be displaying designs from the Brisbane label Uncle Phuncle.

Amazing views of our river as we sit their sipping our drinks and watch the sun-set between the city’s grand structures.

Winterfest’s spectacular location in the heart of the heritage listen Naval Stores in Kangaroo Point, is the perfect way for you and your friends to catch the free ferry ride over. Just stop off at Thornton Street.
