Anywhere Theatre Festival: One Black Mark
Cathy Dee | On 14, May 2014
The Anywhere Theatre Festival is back for another year!
Last night I was lucky enough to go to along to One Black Mark, a tale that follows the journeys of four characters as they live out their last day on earth. You’ll cheer for their triumphs, weep over their sorrows and struggle with their decisions, but ultimately you will judge them.
That’s what makes One Black Mark so special, the audience gets to decide the ending! You’ll get to put a black mark beside the name of the character you like the least, deciding their fate and the conclusion of the show.
I must confess I’m not a keen theatre-goer but shows like One Black Mark win me over. Held at the very cool Turf Studios in Woolloongabba the audience sat on a variety of camper chairs and cushions creating a casual and fun vibe that mixes well with the energetic and playful performance of the actors.
One Black Mark is on until 17 May and I strongly recommend you make time to go along!
