App of the month – Whitagram

Ever wonder why your friends’ Instagram photos look so much cooler than yours? They’re probably using Whitagram.

Whitagram comes equipped with all the tools you need to enhance, frame, crop, filter and recreate your images, as subtly or overtly as you wish.

One of the best (and most popular) features of Whitagram is its borders and frames, which come in white, black and gold.

The app also offers a two sided border, available in the colour of your choice, to fill in the gaps around your image so that it doesn’t have to be cropped for Instagram.

This feature really comes in handy when you want your full photograph to fit into the Instragram frame.

If you’re willing to make the upgrade, you can purchase stickers to decorate your image, or for free you can add text and/or drawings and even turn your image into a meme.

Whitagram also allows you to fix red eye, sharpen, illuminate and adjust the brightness and focus of your image, as well as bringing back a splash of colour to an otherwise black and white photograph.

It also has a variety of unique effects to change up your image from the standard Instragram filters.

I had the same struggle at first, but after playing around with the app for about five minutes, I quickly got the hang of it, and now find it very simple to navigate around.

Be sure that after you take or select your image to edit, you click on the paintbrush on the left side of the screen and select ‘Edit with Aviary’ for your best editing options, at no additional cost.

Other than that, everything should be pretty self explanatory. Happy editing!
