As we welcome a new year, we reflect on the great events for creative’s that opened many doors for us in the year that went.
With new beginnings comes new adventures and Screen Queensland is giving you that opportunity to open your door by welcoming applications for its Screen Culture funding program 2015-16.
The Screen Culture Funding Program is an initiative of Screen Queensland to support Queensland-based events and projects across the state that organise cultural activities and promote understanding of film as a cultural experience.
If you organise or participate in a cultural event that opens dialogue about culture and film, then this funding may just give your event that extra must needed hand in making your event even that much more special.
Funding supports cultural events and projects based in Queensland or linked with Queensland organisations and practitioners (in any format or on any platform) such as:
- Film festivals;
- Public events that seek to engage and inform Queensland audiences about screen culture activities;
- Tours and/or visitations by leading filmmakers and projects of significance to screen practitioners that foster debate, discussion and peer contact.
Applications for the 2015-16 Screen Culture Funding Program will close on Monday 30 March 2015 and are open for events taking place during the 2015-16 financial year commencing 1 July 2015 (until 30 June 2016).
