Attention Southside Foodies: Night Markets Are Coming

Attention Southside Foodies: Night Markets Are Coming
Heonji Kim

Say goodbye to Friday night pizzas, and sing hello to serotonin-inducing, mouth-watering grub.

This Friday the Brisbane’s first fully-undercover outdoor market will open at the Brisbane Marketplace in Rocklea. The music will be loud. Food will be in excess. And drinks will be abundant. In addition, the family friendly venue will offer a range of activities and entertainment for the little ones.

First, start off savoury with the wood-fired pizzas, Japanese hot dogs, or classic French crêpes among the 40 rotating vendors. Discover the markets and check-out the delicately scented candles and hand-made jewellery. Then get your hands dirty with dessert. Not only will will there be deep-fried ice cream concoctions like dagwood dog ice cream, but also torched marshmallow Gaytime, and takoyaki-sized deep-fried ice cream.

The Brisbane Night Market offers hundreds of free parking spaces, as well as multiple seating hubs. So, take your boo out for a post-Valentines day treat (keep the love going), or come on out with your family. South-side’s Eat-Street is on its way!
