The Australian Fashion Film Awards (AFFA), celebrates Australia’s fashion elite, showcasing their achievements in fashion and film.
AFFA is a non for profit organization that aims to nurture and promote the independent and commercial talent of Australian fashion and film.
Film-makers, fashion designers, stylists and fashion brandsÂ that are at the forefront of the fashion industry will be credited for their hard work and contribution to the growth of Fashion Film within Australia.
This event is the first ever in Australia and will see fashion and film experts come together to applaud creativity, talent and passion.
Miranda Kerr, Gemma Ward, Abbey Lee, Gracie Otto and Country Road are some of the home grown talents that will be acknowledged at the event.
Fashion Film is quickly becoming a global trend in fashion iconic houses such as Chanel and Dior as the newest and innovative form of fashion advertisement.
Video content is a creative channel that pushes boundaries, articulates a brandâ€™s personality and transforms all traditional forms of fashion communication and promotion.
Anastasia Fai, is the founder of the AFFA, and invisions creating a new platform of excitement and cooperation between the fast past and rapidly changing fashion world and the dynamic film industry.
The inaugural awards have selected judges from all over the country, including the likes of fashion journalist Marion Hume and celebrity fashion stylist Michael Azzollini.
Applicants will be judges through a two stage process. Judges score fashion artists based on their unique film concept, creativity, quality of execution and the work of storytelling.
The AFFA submission deadline is March 29th with finalists to be announced on April 15th. The Awards themselves will take place on May 11th
