Growing up in the middle of nowhere quite possibly fuelled my appetite for escapism through film. This is pretty much just a fancy way of saying; I was bored and watched everything we owned on VHS. It could also be that my love of film spawned from watching a young Leonardo DiCaprio waltz around the Titanic on the big screen at age five (dear parents, why did you let me watch that? Pretty sure Titanic is not pre-school appropriate). Regardless of when it started, my obsession with all things film followed me into adulthood, where I now know more about obscure movie trivia than I do about our nation’s economy. If this does not qualify me to write about films, then I don’t know what does.
