Harriet Fraser

Having had a childhood passion for painting still life, recent years have enabled me to branch out from my weekly paintings of whatever I found in the kitchen fruit bowl as I fused my interest in art and writing. Putting down the paintbrush for the pen I have developed an interest in exploring and writing about modern and contemporary works from an array of artists. Naturally drawn to the iconic MoMA’s, Louvre’s and Pompidou’s of this world I have, until now neglected the artistic offerings of my own city and the inspiring creative talent that Brisbane has to offer. Through contributing to Creative Drinks I will explore the works of up and coming artists, established artists as well as galleries and events - I love to immerse myself in all elements of the art world. While my interest in art may have been planted with painting my grannies apples, it has grown into a personal passion that I hope to explore and share with readers looking for artistic inspiration.
