Matthew Spasaro

Pushing the boundaries of demarcation and limits, Matthew Spasaro's journeys have taken him from volunteering his body to medical science to hosting his own radio show. Continuing his great travel affair during an odyssey through the Balkans, Spasaro's brash yet happy-go-lucky attitude saw him cast in an independent film shot in Hungary. Taking it as something of a calling, he decided to return home and dedicate the next chapter of his life to writing and directing film, studying at the Queensland School of Film and Television. As someone who tries to live each day outside the feather bed of civilisation, Spasaro harbours an ambition in creating screenplays and films that are thought provocative, personal and slightly skewed.
