I knew I wanted to be a writer the day I came home from Church when I was four years old and sat down at an antique desk with a roller-top and wrote my first short story about Moses. It was nonsensical and rife with spelling errors (hey—I was four!) but I showed it to my parents in all its three-page glory and from then on I was always writing.
I have improved since then—believe it or not—and have moved on to creating manuscripts in various genres.
On a confident day, I like to think of myself as a warrior of words—using language as a sword. There is nothing more satisfying than using the perfect word at the perfect time. I hope to bring humour and share my knowledge of all things coffee (I’m a barista going on four years now) with Creative Drinks readers.
Words are the centre of my life, the thing that grounds me most.
My day is not complete if I have not sat down and attempted a crossword in a newspaper.
