BeerFest 2020

BeerFest 2020
Tom Linkins

Is there anything more Australian than beer? Cracking open a coldie with your mates after a hard week’s yakka? Short answer; no.

Fire up the group chats and get your mates in formation because on March 14th BeerFest will be setting up camp in Brissie. This year Australia’s longest running beer festival has found a new home at the Victoria Park Showgrounds.

Summer might be ‘officially’ over, but we all know this heat isn’t going anywhere. So don’t fight it, get down to Victoria Park and join it.

Headlining this year’s BeerFest will be Aussie legends Art vs Science. As well as providing the musical goods the lads have also collab’d with BeerFest, Burnley Brewing and Cryer Malt to create a one-off summer session ale. The limited-edition Art vs Science vs Beer will only be available at BeerFest.

Comedians Luke Heggie (Comedy Next Gen, The Project, OXFAM Gala) and Damien Power (The Project, The Weekly, Just For Laughs) will also be taking to the stage for shows at 2:30pm and 4:30pm.

Feel free to bring the kids as BeerFest is a family friendly event and will be providing children’s entertainment, too.

BeerFest will play host to a multitude of brews; from crowd favourites to hot new offerings from up-and-comers. There will also be a selection of wine, cider, boutique spirits and cocktails available for that one friend that doesn’t like beer (we all have one).

Other Good Stuff.

World class brewer and cheese-judge (be still my beating heart) Chris Sheehan will be there to educate your tastebuds on pairing beer and cheese. And if you want to make your Beer-Brain even BIGGER there will also be sessions and masterclasses run by Your Mates Brewing Co and Cryer Malt. Who said beer kills brain cells?! I’ve already learnt more reading this press release than I have in my last three years of uni.

There will be 15 foodie options on hand, too, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available.

Give yourself a break and get down to Victoria Park on Saturday 14th to enjoy the last drops of summer at BeerFest 2020.
