BIGSOUND Announces 40+ More Artists

BIGSOUND Announces 40+ More Artists

| On 24, Jul 2014

As the September date for this year’s BIGSOUND conference draws steadily nearer, more than 40 new artists have been added to the ranks of those already scheduled to perform.

This year, the twelfth for the QMusic managed conference, is already set to be an expansive and impressive three days, with panel speakers including Neil Finn, Peter Noble of Bluesfest and former BIGSOUND executive programmer Graham Ashton.

BIGSOUND will showcase more than 140 artists in Brisbane

For Brisbanites who aren’t part of the industry, the BIGSOUND Live shows are an accessible and wildly enjoyable way to see some great music and get involved with one of Brisbane’s best events. “BIGSOUND drunk” is an actual phrase that gets bandied about.

Seekae, SAFIA and  Art of Sleeping are included on the new announcement, joining a lineup that includes Melbourne’s Tully on Tully, Airling (who has recently toured with James Vincent McMorrow), Deep Sea Arcade, Sampology (guaranteed to be a party), and local boys Holy Holy.

More than a great chance to catch some music in 14 different Brisbane locations, BIGSOUND also represents a chance at exposure for smaller, lesser known artists including groups from France, New Zealand, Canada and the United States, as well as most of Australia.

Venues for BIGSOUND Live this year include The Zoo, old faithful Ric’s, Black Bear Lodge, The Elephant, Crow Bar and new venue The Brightside, among others.
