Australia’s leading music festival and industry conference BIGSOUND is set to return to Brisbane streets from Tuesday 7 – Thursday 9 September.

The three-day event will feature a huge lineup of diverse emerging artists, industry connections and a killer conference program focused on building a new future for the music industry post-COVID.

The festival will kick off Tuesday with the BIGSOUND First Nations Showcase and Women in Music event, before the BIGSOUND Conference begins from Wednesday to Thursday where top industry members will discuss current issues within the music industry head-on.

BIGSOUND’s dedication to rebuilding a stronger, safer, more inclusive industry has never been greater, according to BIGSOUND’s executive producer and QMusic CEO Angela Sumut.

“This year, BIGSOUND will provide the chance for us to reconnect, collectively grieve the losses the industry has faced over the past year, and celebrate the treasure trove of Australasian talent”.

By night, Brisbane music-lovers will be able to do just this, as roughly 150 new artists showcase their talent in a vibrant array of live music at the BIGSOUND Festival, located in some of Fortitude Valley’s best live gig venues. Can’t make the event in person? Don’t stress! BIGSOUND will be live streaming online again this year so no one misses out.

BIGSOUND will also be welcoming tastemakers from across the country to scout Brisbane’s talent, including media, A&R, agents, promoters, music supervisors and buyers. If that’s not enough already, BIGSOUND has also partnered up with Levi’s Music Prize, meaning all artists selected to perform in 2021 will be eligible to win one of three $15,000 cash prizes!

Artists applications are now OPEN and close 11:59PM on Friday 28 May.
