Black Bear Lodge

Black Bear Lodge

| On 11, Apr 2014

Above the Cosmo Coffee Shop on the mall is an upstairs club/bar/ and live music venue, called Black Bear Lodge.

Compared to other venues in the valley, Black Bear Lodge is relatively small. But with a rather intimate setting, it is a sure fire way to meet new people.

Chill out during their hunting hours every Friday and Saturday from 5pm-7pm where there are a selection of specials on their craft beers, wine (Black Bear Lodge have their own label) and spirits.

Then get your dancing shoes on to dance the night away with house DJs spinning some old RnB/ soul tunes transporting you back to the 90’s and early 2000’s.

Saturday nights are free entry all night but get in quick and early, as Black Bear Lodge is only able to hold around 250 people and can get over crowded very easily.

There are also a variety of alternative gigs held throughout the week at affordable prices. Some upcoming performers include Velociraptor, Holy Holy, and Ella Hooper.

Black Bear Lodge also host events bi-monthly including Jazz Party Tuesday, No Diggity, Soul Train and Black Bear to Brooklyn. For more information on these events click here.

Dedicated to the live music scene in Brisbane, Black Bear Lodge charges a small cover charge fee on week nights during the early hours of the evening to help support Brisbane musicians.

Whatever night you plan on going out make sure that Black Bear Lodge is on your list of venues to hit up.
