Breakfast at the Foxy Bean

Breakfast at the Foxy Bean

| On 11, Aug 2013

Looking for a café for a beautiful relaxing Sunday breakfast?

Head to the Foxy Bean at Woolloongabba.

Walking into a hall packed full of breakfast lovers; getting some attention by wait staff did take some convincing but as I have well learnt, first impressions are not to be trusted.

After a short wait for a free table we were led to a table out the back, the astro turf floor and the warmth of the heaters and wooden tables provided a chilled out al fresco Aussie dining affair.

Coffee came fairly fast and hot considering the crowd and the food was soon before us.

Their famous ‘Bushman’s Bennie’ was a winner!

Savoury mince on toast with a perfectly cooked poached egg and hollandaise sauce – a fresh and creative spin on the classic eggs benedict was a welcome change.

A friend ordered the baked eggs which won best presentation, delivered on a cutely designed board perfect for the pot of deliciousness.

Generous proportions, comfy couches and a wide range of creative breakfast options Foxy Bean is soon becoming a Brisbane breakfast must.

Unfortunately they do not take breakfast bookings but waiting for a table takes no longer than any other reputable Brisbane café establishment.

They also don’t offer chai lattes which may come as a disappointment to the chai loving kind.

Foxy Bean is also open for lunch and dinner, serving tapas and canapés by night.

Add in a cute fox and a dancing bean as their mascots, you’ll be seeing me there time and time again.
