BrisAsia Festival 2015 Open

BrisAsia Festival 2015 Open

| On 15, Feb 2015

For the next month Brisbane City Council will bring us Brisbanites a hub of cultural degustation that will have us seeing, tasting and experiencing the delights of Asia.

Incorporated into the city and surrounding suburbs, BrisAsia Festival will be held for the month of February to celebrate our diverse Asian cultural connections.

Across the river and back into the city hub, BrisAsia will profile the work of local artists that identify with Asian heritage and promote other Asian events held in our local communities.

Inspired by celebrating Asian heritage, the Chinese New year and the culture and cuisine of Asian countries, BrisAsia will no doubt bring a smile to your inner cultural curiosity.

From their ‘Art Bites’ program which will feature, yoga, cooking classes, plate juggling and Indian cooking to name a few, to the ‘Bands in the parks’ program, Brisbane City hall Concerts, World Kitchen events, twilight markets and short film festival, there really is something for everybody.

Midway through the festival, it will get even more festive for the annual Chinese lunar New Year festival which is celebrated in none other then Chinatown Mall, Fortitude Valley.

This month you will all be a busy bunch as our grand river-city celebrates its close partners and embraces being part of a multi-cultural hub.
