This November the Brisbane Powerhouse will become home to your deepest fantasies and delights, intoxicating thoughts, and pure creative wonders. Step down the rabbit hole, and welcome to the debaucherous end-of-year carnival, Wonderland.

Packed with circus, comedy, music, poetry, physical theatre, magic and burlesque, Wonderland 2016 is going to be bigger then ever! Outside the buildings will feature twilight markets, pop-up bars and a general relaxing environment for patrons to soak in the Brisbane summer nights. Inside however will be hosting 31 shows in just 14 days. With high energy entertainment from both international and local talent, it is a chance to get a cultural fix and take in something a little bit out of the ordinary.

The Creative Issue have selected our 3 top highlights in this years line-up, and let us just say – it was almost impossible to choose! You can go here to download the full 2016 guide.

Direct from the UK, this critically-acclaimed theatrical journey through the Seven Kingdoms is a vision inspired from avid Thrones fan, Graeme, who really just wants to recreate his favourite fantasy saga on stage – aided and abetted by his best friend Paul and the girl he used to fancy at school – Bryony. Once news reaches them that an influential theatrical producer is in the building, Graeme decides that this could be his big break – as long as nothing goes wrong. Created by a team of some of the UK’s top comedy writers, and presented by Gsdht, Act/React, and Brisbane Powerhouse, this original, wacky, wicked (and unauthorised) parody promises to be a treat for any Game of Thrones fan. Taking audiences on a rollercoaster ride of beheadings, incest and war, what more could you possibly want?
