Brisbane street style: Fortitude Valley
Rafferty Gifford | On 12, Feb 2014
The street style at Fortitude Valley this week was original, versatile and very much about the colour black.
Looking for new ways to spice up you usual black attire? Look no further than these girls!
Anna looks modern and chic in her Karen Walker sunglasses, sheer Zara top and Jeffrey Campbell shoes.
Her red lipstick adds the perfect pop of colour to an otherwise all black attire.
She describes her personal style as simple but classy, and says she picks up style tips from magazines and boutique stores online.
Kylie wears a black and white floral playsuit from Topshop and accessorises her outfir with a small Sportsgirl bag.
Her style is inspired by the music videos of artists she admires, such as Warpaint.
She has a (not so secret) love affair with playsuits and says her favourite places to shop in Brisbane are op shops- especially Lifeline- and Topshop.
Alanah, 18
Alanah says she is normally an avid all black styler, and that it is unusual for her to wear something as bright as her checked pink skirt (pictured).
She pairs the Princess Polly skirt with a black tee and ASOS shoes.
Her favourite places to shop are op shops, although she says that the Gold Coast has better stock than Brisbane as it usually lasts for longer.
Her style is informed by people watching and observing the current trends on the streets.
Next week we’ll be taking another a look at what styles are trending on Brisbane’s city streets.
