Brisbane street style – Oxford Street

| On 21, Oct 2013

Over the past few years, Bulimba’s Oxford Street has experienced rising popularity and has emerged as one of Brisbane’s entertainment hotspots.

As such, it’s upped its style stakes, and sees many fashion forward guys and gals gravitating to grab a cuppa, catch a movie or enjoy a leisurely riverside stroll in the area.

When we visited Oxford Street to provide you with your weekly dose of Brisbane street style, we noticed a black and white trend, with the occasional pop of colour.

Check out who we snapped below!

Beth, 20

Beth masters the cool casual look in her neon Cotton On top and geometric print pants.

Her shoes are from City Beach and her sunglasses are Karen Walker.

Her favourite Australian design labels are Aje and Farron, and she loves to shop in Winn Lane’s Haut Boheme boutique.

Her favourite trends this season are leather and boyfriend jeans, and her style is inspired by Tash Sefton from They All Hate Us.

 Abbey, 16

Abbey, who has hopped on board the sports luxe trend, wears a sheer black blouse over a Sass and Bide bra and Mika and Gala shorts.

She says her favourite Australian label is Sass and Bide and that her style icon is Nicole Ritchie.

This season she is loving matching skirt and top combos.

 Sophie, 20

Sophie pulls off the simple but sophisticated look in her Country Road apparel, accessorised with an orange Mimco wallet that adds a pop of colour to her black and white attire.

She describes her everyday style as contemporary casual and says her summer staple is a pair of bikinis, as she’ll be fighting the heat in amongst the waves.

Her favourite swimwear brands are Hawaii’s Acacia Swimwear and Australian labels Zimmermann and Seafolly.

Next week we’ll continue to uncover more style trends on the streets of Brisbane.
