Brisbane street style - South Brisbane
Rafferty Gifford | On 29, Oct 2013
This week we scoured Grey Street in South Brisbane to find its most fashionable occupants.
With summer just around the corner, the style on the streets is adapting fast to suit the increasingly hotter Brisbane weather.
Want to see who we found? Find out below!
Madeline looks stylish and chic in her all black attire, perfected with a pop of red lipstick.
Her dress is from Supre and her shoes are old favourites from Urban Outfitters.
There are many people Madeline looks up to in terms of their style, including Love Aesthetic’s Ivania Carpio, 1960’s film and stage actress Lauren Bacall and contemporary superstar Beyonce.
Her own style differs day to day, depending on how she feels, but she says she often reflects a 1950’s aesthetic.
This summer you’re most likely to see Madeline rocking a matching skirt and top combo- her favourite trend from the runways this season.
Carol describes her personal style as cool and feminine, and enjoys finding creative ways of working the two looks together.
She doesn’t have any favourite shops in Brisbane, as she likes to keep to her options open and pick up bits and pieces from all over.
Her style inspiration comes from Pinterest and other fashion magazines.
This season she is loving cropped shirts and tees, such as the one she wears above (purchased from Supre).
Amelia, who is inspired by all things nineties, describes her style as fun and flamboyant.
She wears homemade pants, a vintage tee, Windsor Smith shoes, ASOS sunglasses and a hat from General Pants Co.
This summer she will be wearing lots of bright colours, and shopping at all her favourite Brisbane op shops.
Not sure what trends you’ll be sporting this summer? Hopefully you found some inspiration in South Brisbane’s trendiest street stylers!
