Check them out before everyone else does.

With a fresh new look and passionate young owners, this place is pumping with new bands on the regular, especially talented locals. If you love new music and want to have a rocking night while supporting local musicians, The Flying Cock is a sure thing.

Don’t miss UBERfest 2015 at The Flying Cock, on Sunday 8th February, where you can enjoy an entire day of underground rockers. For more information head to the Flying Cock website.

The Boundary Hotel: 137 Boundary St, Brisbane

If you enjoy a good jam (and not the strawberry kind), The Boundary Hotel is open to one and all on their Jam Night Wednesdays. Hosting open mic nights, providing all the equipment and offering plenty of booze for a little extra courage, you have the option of appreciating strangers’ musical abilities as well as putting your own on display. If you don’t like what you’re hearing, get up and show them how it’s done yourself.

Jam Night Wednesdays are held every Wednesday from 7pm and are free to attend. For more info, contact:
