A Bubbly Affaire - Blanc de Blanc Style

A Bubbly Affaire – Blanc de Blanc Style

| On 04, Sep 2016

Come one, come all, prepare to brush up on your French and raise your champagne flutes – it’s time to get frivolous.

Welcome to Blanc de Blanc. A place full of decadence and opulence, Blanc de Blanc will thrill, chill and surprise. Where nothing is off the cards, it gives audiences a chance to explore a sensual, raunchy world inspired by French Cabaret.

Aspiring to be chic and sophisticated, Blanc de Blanc brings performers from around the world and blends them together in a show-stopping spectacle that reflects all the sexuality and sauciness of a no-holds-barred cabaret, tassels included.  Blanc de Blanc commenced with maître d’ Monsieur Roméo providing standard pre-show house rules entirely in French, which provided an entertaining start to what followed. For those of you who don’t speak Français, it’s ok – there is a moment for the comic relief in the form of Spencer Novich to provide a brief translation. With champagne and cash from the patrons flowing freely, the audience was invited to drink at the bar, provided conveniently at the back of the Spiegeltent.

The party began to warm up with a slow burn and did not stop continuing to up the ante on the outrageous. From full-frontal nudity to hula hooping beauties to contortionists to performers suspended from the ceiling, this was quite the spectacle, arousing the senses and all enhanced by a haze that permeated the intimate space. There were also moments where audience participation was sprung upon unsuspecting members in the crowd and added an element of humour and anticipation to the show. All of the performers did an admirable job in their respective roles and gave their all to delight, infatuate and titillate. This show was definitely an adult show, and thus may not be for everyone, but it promises bubbles – literally – sparkles and lots of champagne. And who knows? Maybe you will be the one who wins a free bottle of the good stuff.
