PRAY. EAT. REPEAT. Located on Russel st in West End, Café Wrapture will make you wonder “wait, how’d we get to Byron Bay”. With an aroma of freshly lit incense and the sound of the Balinese water fountain flowing nearby, the place will leave you feeling at peace.

Owner Alec is a humble man as he spends his time serving and talking to the satisfied customers. He envisioned the café to be a spiritual place where locals could escape to.

The menu is all locally sourced and offers a large range of gluten free options. A stand out was the gluten-free pecan slice which pairs fabulously with one their Instagram worthy coffees.

Speaking of coffee- the ginger latte is incredible. It tastes like a ginger bread biscuit in a cup. Instead of syrup the baristas use spices but the rest of the recipe is a secret so ….. shhhhhh.

As the name indicates the café is known for their fresh wraps. Visitors can enjoy such delights such as the Zeus wrap which includes lamb koftas with grilled halloumi, salad and yoghurt dressing. The free range chicken Caesar wrap is also an option which boasts Parmesan cheese, Caesar dressing and lemon and herb chicken. The wraps are satisfying but not belly busting, so look forward to walking home without your newly conceived food baby.

The menu also includes a large breakfast range. The Veggie Big Breakfast is great for Veggie lovers as it includes poached eggs, grilled halloumi, spinach, mushroom and a potato hash. Also the Atlantic salmon cakes are great for those wanting something a little fancy.

The service is brilliant. You will be served by fresh faced smiling staff that are all up for having a bit of a chat. Drinks are brought out immediately and food comes out reasonably quick taking about five to ten minutes.

If want to have a quiet meal come in around 2pm. The indoor bar stools are a perfect place to get work done so feel free to bring a laptop. Café Wrapture is West End. It attracts all groups of people from hippies to yuppies. A trip to West End would not be complete without popping in.
