Coming soon: Ben and Jerry’s open-air cinema

Coming soon: Ben and Jerry’s open-air cinema

| On 18, Oct 2013

Movie fans rejoice, for Ben and Jerry’s is bringing the dairy, the deckchairs and some pretty decent films to Brisbane this Spring.

The Ben and Jerry’s open-air cinema tour of Australia rolls into Brisbane on the 20th of October, promising a wide array of films and live music until the end of November.

They’re decking out South Bank’s cultural forecourt with chairs and beanbags, a candy bar, pizza place, and even a licensed bar for those in need of a cheeky beverage.

In terms of film screenings, Ben and Jerry’s cater for every taste – musicals, sci-fi, international film, drama, comedy and animation are all on offer over the coming weeks.

For the film aficionados I recommend Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine and the whimsical coming of age story Frances, Ha, and for those just keen to check out the atmosphere, The Great Gatsby and Gravity are sure to please the masses.

Alternatively, if you’re looking to hit up the bar in a big way, the Grease Sing-a-long might be more your style, provided you’re willing to lose 90 per cent of your dignity.

Ben and Jerry’s open-air cinema has something for pretty much everyone.

It’s perfect for friends, lovers and even the lonely singles – what better way to drown your romantic sorrows than with ice cream, wine, and Dirty Dancing.

Our friends Ben and Jerry also spare a thought for those who aren’t cinematically inclined, with free live music and ice cream at their ‘Sundae Sessions’  (terrible pun) every weekend.

So, get online now and order your tickets for Ben and Jerry’s open-air cinema – screen times are known to sell out so get in quick or risk missing out!
