Complete Guide to Denim

The weather is finally cooling down here in Brisbane (YAY) that means that its time to dust off your jeans from your wardrobe and get ready to hit the streets.
Flares: We have seen them time and time again on our favourite bloggers, Leandra Medine and Sara Donaldson, but this season, denim flares are a definite must have for winter. Teamed with some funky Chelsea boots, you have yourself a killer outfit. However, in Brisbane they are quite difficult to find in store, the best I have found are J brand, so I recommend scrolling the pages of Asos for a killer pair.
White/Pale Jeans: It might be a sign that people are trying to hold on to the light and airy summer months, but either way pale or white jeans are definitely a trend this season. It is definitely a fresh take on jeans, especially when you are feeling down in the dumps about Brisbane hitting a cold 18 degrees. Your best bet is Country Road or Seed for a pair of ankle grazers, or some baggy bootlegs.
Boyfriend Jeans: Last year’s go to jean, was definitely the boyfriend, and we are seeing it hit the forefront again this year. The trick now, is to find something that makes them that little bit different, whether that be the colour or the distressed look. It’s hard to trend to carry off when you see them on every second person, but definitely one for the comfort lover, and those who prefer not to be stuck in skinny jeans. One Teaspoon or Sass and Bide are my picks.
Black Jeans: They never really go out of style. Black jeans can make any outfit go from day to night in a second and are sophisticated and chic, but still have the comfort of the jeans that everyone loves. Dr Denim is definitely a favourite for the high waisted as well as Ksubi for the mid-waist.
