The Corner Store Cafe is renowned for their unique and creative dishes and seasonally changing menu, as well as their unwavering passion for great coffee.
Set in a charming and formerly derelict, turn-of-the-century cottage, the Corner Store boasts an inside-outside patio that streams in natural light from all angles. Each dish is lovingly prepared using fresh produce sourced from their onsite herb and vegetable garden which is in full view from the patio seating.
The Corner Store has gained a cult following in Brisbane; each day of the week you will find customers sprawled out onto the pavement eagerly awaiting a table, takeaway coffee or perusing the handmade fare in the deli.
The spring menu boasts a fresh twist on breakfast combining unique flavour compositions including a Moroccan style savoury mince dish, served with poached eggs, steamed rice, minted yoghurt, Persian feta, dates and toasted almonds.
If you can’t go past a classic avocado on toast in the morning then be sure to try Corner Store’s smashed avocado/2 ways with red pepper salsa and feta on one slice of sourdough, and haloumi and kimchi on the other slice.
For a lighter alternative the Corner Store rises to the occasion with their coconut and acai bowl, served with banana, mango coconut yoghurt, kiwi and almond crumble.
The salami, corn, spinach and potato hash comes highly recommended by the staff, and is served with cheese and shallot scramble, green tomato relish and jalapeños. Another favourite is this season’s take on their recurring waffle dish is a tiramisu Belgian waffle, with coffee, Kahlua and maple syrup, mascarpone ice-cream and chocolate soil.
Pair your delicious meal with a cold drip coffee brewed for six and a half hours, or maybe a coconut water, cracked to order.
Serving up their extensive breakfast/brunch menu from 7-11am on weekdays and 7-12pm on weekends makes the Corner Store the perfect spot for your next brunch date.
