The hippest city in Australia is well becoming a foodie’s paradise and Au Cirque in New Farm has long been a breakfast favourite but what of the rest of the day?

Au Cirque sophisticated, grown up and rather special is promoting their night life with one smashing menu.

Now open Thursday and Friday nights for dinner this relaxed bistro serves morishable bites ranging from the ever pan-fried scallop to the heart warming sticky goodness that can only be the bistro favourite, bbq pork ribs! (oh the reminder sends me salivating).

And if you can’t wait till 5.30pm for some hearty grub then head on in at 4.30pm where the kitchen is open for a few delicious bar bites.

The lunch menu is equally inviting with the Cirque chicken burger and braised beef brisket sandwich with with coleslaw, jalepeno and chipotle mayonnaise.

Each dish is filled with that homey feel, that warmth only a good meal can give.

Owned by a lovely couple, Giselle and Cristophe Massieu love serving the Brisbane crowds and seem to make a perfect team. So it is safe to say this place is well worth the long lines at breakfast through to the midday snack, the afternoon nibble and the relaxed atmosphere of an intimate dinner.

This is a place fit for the “hip” label, it ticks all the boxes and then some. Au Cirque stands tall among the bistros of this city and will remain a favourite with the many who know it as well as those yet to grace its’ walls (did I mention their coffee is a god send?)
