Brisbane is full of mini villages that offer its local residents delicious dining options, boutique shops and facilities that enhance their community. Some of these mini villages are known citywide and visited by many. Others are intimate and must be sought out. Once discovered, however, it is impossible not to return. One such mini village is situated at Martha St, Camp Hill.
On Tuesday, November 25th, Martha St will be hosting a street party to celebrate all that their street has to offer and to thank their visitors for making it all possible. Shops will extend their opening hours, cafes will spill out onto the street and live music will bring the whole street together.
Here’s a taste of what Martha St has to offer and who will be celebrating on Tuesday 25th.
Martha St has some of the best dining options in Camp Hill. Family favourite Mons Ban Sabai Thai has been serving delicious, fresh Thai food for over 10 years. Owned by the Venzin Group, this street is so loved that they decided to open a sister café, Picnic, which serves all day breakfast alongside delicious coffee. Their picnic brownie slice is enough of a reason to visit!
Fully embracing street side dining is Blackbird Espresso, which is drawing in diners with their homemade treats and Piazza D’Oro coffee.
Another café option on Martha St is the renowned In A Pickle, which not only serves delicious food but is also a family inspired catering company. Or, for a fine dining dinner option, Martha St presents Rapide, a modern Australian restaurant with a strong focus on fresh seafood and delicious wines.
No street is complete, however, without a bread shop. Martha St’s The Bread Basket sells delicious bread, pastries and cakes that puts many a smile on many faces.
Whilst the dining options on Martha St are enough of a reason to visit, the boutique shops provide a reason to stay. Little Grace is the go to for gifts, fashion and accessories. Always colourful and full of life, it is impossible to leave empty-handed!
Amble & Adore provides another shopping option, with an emphasis on selling locally sourced items and food products.
So if Martha St is your regular hangout, or if you are yet to visit, make sure you head on down to celebrate this mini village on Tuesday, November 25th. With extended opening hours, live music and a visit from Santa, there’s something for everyone!
