| On 04, Sep 2015

Dutch Courage welcomes spring by launching new share plates menu as a premium bar offering late night dining options.

One year since opening the doors on Alfred Street, Dutch Courage Officer’s Mess is proud to present an intimate supper club experience, changing the landscape for late night Brisbane. The full Dutch courage experience exploring colonial themes is complete, neatly captured in their cocktails and extending to their share plates menu. All dishes are made in-house and onsite with locally sourced ingredients, driving Dutch Courage as a food destination.

The menu appeals to all tastes, where vegetarians, carnivorous appetites, the health conscious, comfort food seekers and dessert-lovers alike will enjoy an exploration around the palate. Trademark Dutch Courage dishes include calamari tacos, confit duck spring rolls or longstanding favourite, wild mushroom and truffle arancini. For big flavours, sit down to the ‘Death Wish’ prawn acras where one in four prawns is guaranteed to pack a punch. From the bar, signature DC Tasting Boards presents a selection of tapas, charcuterie and cheeses matched to gins and cocktails. Sweet tooths sees decadent favourites deconstructed into shareable desserts with a nostalgic edge.

Owner operator Matthew Hilan is pleased to step it up with Dutch Courage as the kitchen joins the bar in producing real taste sensations. “We want our clientele to select the dishes with the cocktails they want to try,” he said. “Dutch Courage takes pride in great cocktails and good food. With our kitchen open till 1am on weekends, guests can enjoy after-work nibbles through to late-night desserts.”
With bartenders renowned for mixed drinks, from classics to martinis and cocktail teas – including their infamous bathtub gin cocktail – the outdoor courtyard, lounge and upstairs dining cements Dutch Courage as the ultimate drinking, dining and entertainment destination. Make sure you welcome in Spring by trying out the new share plates Dutch Courage has to offer.
