Up for a bit of fantasy? You’re in luck, Fairytales and Fables has arrived at GOMA!

If you fancy revisiting childhood memories or discovering adult only fairytales, this is the event for you.

QAGOMA director, Chris Saines hopes, “‘Fairytales and Fables’ will reveal the cinematic allure of traditional tales, and their continued ability to enchant and unnerve.”

The program runs from 10 January to the 20 March, plenty of time for you to enjoy as many films as you please.

Catering to a wide variety of tastes the films a split into categories including, silent cinema, coming of age, classic tales and twists, animals and shapeshifting, through the looking glass, into the woods and catch a fairy by the tale.

Screenings include old fashion favourites like, The Adventures of Prince Achmed (1926) and The Princess Bride (1987).

As well as modern films like Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) and Ponyo (2008).
