Famous mixologist tweaks Tiki menu

Since its inception, Alfred and Constance has flourished in Fortitude Valley’s newest entertainment precinct.
Always one to ensure they get the most talented people involved, such as patron chef Jocelyn Hancock whose journey is featured in the first issue of Sartre Magazine, A&C continue to deliver top notch food, service and cocktails to Brisbane’s hip crowd.
28th of February saw the launch of a new, savvy cocktail menu at A&C’s Tiki bar “White Lightning.”
Mixologist Richard Boccato schlepped all the way from NYC to Alfred and Constance to refine and redesign their tiki cocktail menu. Yet Boccato is no stranger to Brisbane and has been summoned by A&C twice before.
Starting his hospitality career as a doorman, Boccato clawed his way to a bartender role. His  unique ability to concoct innovative and creative cocktails was quickly noted by his boss, and he was promoted to an exclusive bar dominated by high-status cocktail purveyors.
After establishing several successful cult bars in NYC, Boccato indulges his passion of “tiki” style drinks.
Tiki is a celebrated culture which heavily draws on relaxed Hawaiian beach culture. Drinks that embody the tiki style are tropical, fruity and fun.
Boccato brings experience and passion to the new menu, and presents modern twists on classic favourites. The salted caramel coldada is served in the quintessentially A&C hulled pineapple adorned with decorative umbrellas and glacé cherry.
A favourite of the night was the Hawaiian inspired Mai Tai.
I urge you to visit A&C and sample this new and innovative menu. Let me assure you, after two (or one if you’re me) salted caramel coladas, you’ll be happier when you leave!
