First Lineup Announcement for Caloundra Music Festival

First Lineup Announcement for Caloundra Music Festival
Bronte Dray

Surf, sun, soul, sand, and some seriously epic acts.

If Caloundra Music Festival (CMF) 2019 isn’t already on your calendar, it should be.

Do you love live music from a mix of awesome Australian and international acts? Of course you do.
How about a whole stack of delicious festival food to keep you fed? Mmmm deep-fried avocado…
What about being able to pop outside for a sneaky swim at the beach between acts? Is that even a question? Heck yeah!

For the uninitiated, CMF is an annual music festival that has been running since 2006, and is held at the stunning Kings Beach on the Sunshine Coast. It’s family friendly and environmentally sustainable (it was the first festival in Australia to eliminate bottled water), and if the checklist above is enough to have you asking where you can buy tickets, then wait until you hear the acts that were confirmed in the first artist announcement last Wednesday.

Kate Miller-Heidke, who’s representing Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest this May, is coming back to CMF, and this time she’s bringing a string quartet. Ben Lee and The Cat Empire are also CMF alumni who will be returning to the Sunny Coast festival this year; the former most recently collaborating with Josh Radnor (of How I Met Your Mother fame), and the latter still touring their 2018 album, Stolen Diamonds. Oh, and Missy Higgins is also going to be headlining, fresh off of her recent co-headlining tour with John Butler Trio. Are you excited? I’m excited.

Some of the other acts confirmed include Baby Animals, The Church, New Power Generation (NPG), Harts, Resin Dogs, Nathan Cavaleri, and Turkuaz, along with a number of other awesome performers from both Australia and overseas (a full list of announced acts can be found here). There’s also a stack more acts still to be announced over the next few months, so stay tuned!

All the first release tickets have already been snapped up, but season and weekend tickets are now available. Single day tickets will become available in June.
