Food, food, and more food! To all the foodies — we hope you were at Bulimba Golf Club’s New Zealand Food and Wine Festival last weekend because it was an event you wouldn’t have wanted to miss! 

 

This free, family and dog-friendly festival took place on the 7th of March from 3 pm – 8 pm with Brisbane’s most gourmet food vendors.

 

 

Each vendor outdid themselves by creating and serving each of their own New Zealand inspired dishes. From Paella Man’s New Zealand inspired seafood paella, to Greek St Katina’s green-lipped mussels in white wine sauce – we can definitely vouch to say that all the options food had us drooling. There were no stopping people from grinning from ear to ear with excitement and longing for KD Gourmet’s dessert pizza; made from Nutella, strawberries, banana, kiwi fruit and garnished with peanuts. And there were definitely rumbling bellies happening over at Mr Pulled’s slow-cooked lamb with kawa kata pesto with kumara loaded fries. Needless to say, people were very full by the time 8 pm rolled around! 

 

 

The event kicked off with music from local supporting artists like Steve Carlyle and performances from the Te Tai Mauri between 5 pm – 6 pm. While Danny Faifai “The Koi Boys” had the crowd dancing into the night. Despite the grey clouds looming overhead, each of the performances captivated people as they consumed their delicious food and enjoyed the atmosphere. 

This event was hosted by Bulimba Golf Club and The Design Collective Markets & Events.
