For a great Indian feast, head to the Taj Mahal!

For a great overall dining experience, you can’t beat the Taj Mahal in New Farm.
After having three friends recommend it to me within the same week, I decided it was finally time to try it out for myself.
Located in a great location at the edge of Fortitude Valley, the family owned establishment has made a well-deserved name for itself on the Brisbane restaurant scene.
With over ten years of business under their belt, the Taj Mahal is continuing to grow in popularity.
What we ate:
Vegetable Samosas $4.90: Homemade pastry filled with potatoes and peas.
Lamb Korma $15.90: A delicious combination of cream, yoghurt, fruit & nuts with a subtle hint of spices, producing a sweet but creamy taste.
Butter Chicken $16.90: Tender chicken pieces prepared with cashews & almonds with a hint of fenugreek in a delicious creamy butter sauce.
Garlic and Cheese Naan $4.90: Aromatic garlic bread with cottage cheese.
While the mains may be a little more expensive than other places, it is well worth the cost, and the
inexpensive sides, entrees and free rice more than compensate for this.
Special mention must go to the service – nothing accompanies a great meal more than smiling and attentive staff!
Even having been previously assured of the quality, I was still very impressed with the entire experience.
This is by far the best Indian food I have had in a long time, and I will definitely be returning for more.
