Good Food Guide App Launches In Brisbane.

| On 09, Aug 2014

Foodies, drink experts and the general public alike, get your phones ready to download the next big thing in the app world.

With Brisbane’s food scene overflowing with restaurants, cafes and bars, the release of The Good Food Guide Australia App: Brisbane Times Edition will take the hassle out of planning dining experiences across town.

The app delivers Australia’s most credible, authoritative and independent restaurant reviews to users’ fingertips 24/7 and includes reviews of recently hatted venues and those who received accolades at the prestigious Brisbane Times Good Food Guide Awards 2014/15, presented by Vittoria Coffee and Citi.

49-coverEditor of Brisbane Times Good Food Guide 2014/15 Natascha Mirosch said the app celebrates the best restaurants, cafes and bars in Brisbane as well as regional Queensland, in an easy to use digital format. “The app makes it easy for foodies, locals and travellers to discover new and exciting places to dine, and highlights the state’s talented and inspired restaurateurs, offering the full experience. With over 150 reviews, the app is an extension of the printed guide and encourages diners to explore their options based on the cuisine offered, ratings, or their location, from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, the Sunshine and Fraser Coasts to North Queensland,” Ms Mirosch said.

Offering intuitive design, one of the stand-out app features is the “Near Me” function, which enables users to quickly see quality restaurants around their location at the press of a button. Other features specifically built into the app include images and maps of each venue; the ability to refine searches by price range, opening times. Possibly the standout feature is being able to see the  Good Food Guide Award 2014/15 winners such as “Restaurant of the Year”, “Best Bar with Food” and my favourite, “Wine List of the Year”.
