Premiere presented by RAW took place in the heart of Brisbane’s entertainment district, the MET, in Fortitude Valley on the 27th of February. The event showcased a variety of Brisbane’s upcoming artists across a scope of creative platforms ranging from fashion, music, photography, visual arts, hair, make-up, accessory designs, and performing arts.

We followed Brisbane’s upcoming fashion brand, GS The Label into the scope and space of Premiere. GS The Label was founded by designer Georgia Stubberfield in late 2018. Inspired by feminine, minimalistic, dainty and delicate detailing, GS The Label is a ‘made to order’ brand focusing on sustainability.

Georgia’s brand new collection, Inflorescence, was revealed at RAW’s Premiere runway show. The title of this collection directly refers to the blossoming and growth of GS The Label and Georgia herself. Her collection is a showcase of her latest skills; featuring complex designs while remaining true to her aesthetic and colour palette of pastel pinks, whites and neutral tones. On her recent pieces, the fabrics are soft to the touch with embellishments and beading alongside effortless detailing and frills. Made from linen, chiffon and silks perfect for any beach-babe. Teaming up with hairstylist Mickaela Jordan (@mickaela.j.hairstylist) and make-up artist Peri Peri MUA (@periperimua), GS The Label’s newest collection grabbed the crowd’s attention with loud shouts and applause of approval.

“This is the start,” Georgia excitedly stated about her first runway show, “hopefully there will be more to come!”

Georgia’s new range is perfect for Brisbane weather combining both fitting and loose items of clothing for everyday wear. GS The Label features handmade shirts, scrunchies, swimwear and bottoms available to purchase online.
