Finalists include some much-loved Queensland names such as Ball Park Music, DZ Deathrays, The Jungle Giants and Tia Gostelow. As well as some fresh new talent with Abi Muir, Tayiha, Amber Farnan and Amy Elise.

The QMA finalists hail from a range of musical genres, from pop to rock to electronic/dance. QMA’s also have regional, remote and indigenous categories helping to kickstart Queensland’s talented musicians careers.

Stand-out finalists include Miiesha with her name appearing in an impressive total of three categories, Greta Stanley appearing twice with her single ‘soak into this’ and Jaguar Jonze named a finalist for both rock and folk/singer songwriter.

It is going to be an eager wait to see who takes out top place for the pop award, between Mallrat with ‘Rockstar’, Sycco ‘Dribble’, The Jungle Giants ‘Sending Me UR Loving’ and Eves Karyds ‘Complicated’.

Beddy Rays, Sycco and Hope D are all up for awards too after a successful year that saw them each land a place in the Triple J hottest 100.

The awards ceremony is guaranteed to be an unmissable night of homegrown music. Past QMA
