Valley Fiesta 2013

Valley Fiesta 2013

| On 21, Nov 2013

With the days getting longer, the nights getting warmer, and the uni year coming to an end, the timing couldn’t be more perfect for Brisbane’s biggest annual music festival, Valley Fiesta!

‘What’s Valley Fiesta?’ I hear you ask. Well, “fiesta” is a Spanish word meaning party, feast or festival, and “Valley” is short for Brisbane’s entertainment precinct, Fortitude Valley.

So, basically it’s a party in the Valley.

The Brisbane City Council has teamed up with more than 40 local venues to provide us lucky locals with a mammoth weekend of music, entertainment, and events to keep us partying into the wee hours of the morning.

Lane ways will be transformed into live music venues with a fully licensed bar, the Chinatown Rooftop will host the Red Bull Roller Disco rink, and the Valley Mall’s McDonald’s will make an absolute mint (as always).

This event has continuously seen the streets of the Valley jam-packed with music-lovers, as an exceptional line-up and fun festivities contribute to the event’s success and popularity.

Last year’s line-up included artists The Ashton Shuffle, Belligerents, Cub Scouts, Flume, Wolf & Cub, The Medics and loads more.

This year is no different, as the line-up for 2013 is truly impressive. Some of the artists include Architecture in Helsinki, Dune Rats, Alison Wonderland (DJ set), Pigeon, Andy Bull, Jackie Onassis, World’s End Press and many more.

That’s a pretty incredible line-up for a free event, am I right?!
