James St Up Late: Our top picks from Brisbane fashion's big night
James St Up Late returned for 2021 with all the fanfare you might expect from Brisbane’s most fashionable street. The Creative Issue was there and we have all the intel on which boutiques provided the ultimate up late experiences.
The Australian label designed in Melbourne went above and beyond for the event. The boutique offered complimentary mineral water plus some seriously delicious Nodo donuts. The label also offered 20% off. Elka Collective is the perfect brand if you’re looking for some neutral wardrobe staples or some luxurious winter coats.
One of James Street’s newest additions is Nimble Activewear. The James St store is the brand’s only Queensland location at the moment and they made sure to impress. The boutique offered complimentary mocktails and 20% off instore. The active label is growing fast and an added bonus is their fabrics are made from consumer use recycled plastic bottles.
St Agni were offering 20% off storewide and customers were greeted by founder and designer Lara Fells. Lara was even seen helping customers with try ons providing customers with a unique experience. The boutique also had complimentary Gin and sodas on arrival, which makes for a pretty relaxing shopping experience.
Aje was popular with customers throughout the night and so was the complimentary hot chocolate cart outside the store. Instore, customers were given an exclusive chance to look at and shop the new Momento Smock Dress. The piece isn’t launching until the 2nd of July so it certainly drew attention from fans of the label.
A huge drawcard for visitors at the late night event are the party bags organised by James Street. This year’s featured lots of goodies from face masks to sanitiser and discounts off a staycation at The Calile Hotel.
