James Street Food & Wine Trail

Saturday 3rd August saw James Street present their 2nd Annual Food and Wine trail, beginning with a day long celebration.
The street came alive with a feast of food stalls, tasting stations, pop up restaurants and bars, cooking demonstrations featuring world class chefs and many more culinary attractions.
Throughout the day, the makers behind products such as Bangalow Sweet Pork, Caab Black Angus Beef, Fromi Cheese and San Pellegrino gave insight into the products and the companies behind them.
Following the Saturday celebration, James Street has placed host to a weeklong program featuring degustation dinners, wine tastings, cooking demonstrations and more.
James Street is quickly rising in the ranks of hot spots within Brisbane, with the retail and hospitality industries becoming more diverse and unique.
Having emerged organically from its inner-city industrial roots, the street and surrounding area has evolved into a high-energy urban pocket.
Having planned to only stay for an hour, I found myself wandering for the entire day, enticed by prime cuts of meat and gourmet delicatessen stalls.
James Street has stolen a special place in my heart, and is where I plan to do all my grocery shopping for the forseeble future!
