Brisbane Filmmakers listen up!
The International 48 Hour Film Project challengers emerging Filmmakers to write, shoot and deliver a four to seven-minute film over the course of just one weekend. That’s right, 48 hours. This competition is open from High School students to professionals within the industry so now is the perfect time to dust off the camera, grab your mates and start brainstorming.
Films will be shot from the 10-12th of August 2018. All films submitted, will not only be screened amongst other participants but will be displayed to the public at Event Cinemas, Myer Centre on the 20th-22nd of August.
They are urging Brisbane locals regardless of age, experience or skills to participate in this fresh and unique project. You will all have your hands full and will have to push your team to create something special within these 48 hours.
If this challenging aspect wasn’t enough incentive, fantastic prizes like equipment hire, post-production vouchers, acting headshots, guild membership, online casting database memberships and the major prize of up to $1,000 cash is all up for grabs.
Films that are submitted on-time, will be showcased and judged for various awards by a panel made up of fellow locals. The film selected as overall “Best Film” will be sent internationally to the 48HFP competition, FILMAPALOOZA. Where your film will be showcased along with 120 other films from around the globe. The field will then be cut dramatically to the top 12 films, going on to make their premiere at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.
So get those creative juices flowing and good luck!
