Local Artists to Sell Work on QAGOMA's Online Design Market

The Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) is giving local artists the chance to sell their work through an online market from May 15 to May 31.
QAGOMA Market Coordinator Katie Themor said it’s a wonderful opportunity to support local designers doing it tough during the Coronavirus pandemic.
“It’s important for us to stay in touch with our customers, and to support our stallholders by helping them keep their businesses and practices afloat in this uncertain time,” She said.
Ms Themor said the market, usually held in the GOMA forecourt, will go ahead for the 14th time in a new online platform with goods delivered straight to your front door.
“This year, due to the impact of COVID-19 and with both QAG and GOMA temporarily closed, we’ve moved the physical market online and remain committed to providing a space for local designers and artisans to sell their work,” Ms Themor said.
Over the two weeks, Queensland artists’ work will be available on the GAGOMA online store, with products like unique ceramics, jewelry, handmade clothing and accessories, quality home wares and more.
QAGOMA is encouraging regulars and new customers to support the cause and help the community to push through the tough times.
Products in the market will be available from the GAGOMA store, and shoppers are encouraged to use the tag #gomadesignmarket
