Lord Mayor's Carols in the City

Are you finding it hard to get in the Christmas spirit?
The 30 degree heat and sweltering humidity kind of detracts from the cosy fireplace, ice-skating, snowman-building image I have of Christmas.
Although our beautiful climate can sometimes make it difficult to get in the Christmas spirit, there is one thing that is guaranteed to give you that festive feeling, Christmas Carols!
The Lord Mayor’s Carols in the City is Brisbane’s biggest and most-spirited Christmas tradition, bringing together people of all ages to celebrate together.
The event brings Christmas spirit in the form of singing, dancing, traditional Christmas carols, and of course a special appearance by Santa himself.
This year the fun event is hosted by Channel 10 presenters Georgina Lewis and Josh Holt.
To get you in the festive spirit there will be performances by a number of established and upcoming artists belting their hearts out to our favourite carols. From Silvie Paladino who began her music career in 1989 in the role of Eponine in Les Miserables, to Jack Vidgen who found fame as a 14 year old in Australia’s Got Talent in 2011, it’s safe to say that this year’s entertainers will not disappoint.
So put on your reindeer antlers, pack an esky and head to the Riverstage this Saturday 14th December to truly experience Christmas in our beautiful Brisbane.
