Lost Movements came to say hello!
Lincoln Savage and Lexi Pilon are co-founders of Brisbane’s artist-run initiative, Lost Movements. They came in to chat with us last week about some of their latest opportunities in the sphere of Brisbane live art.
The idea behind the whole thing, says Savage, is to “stimulate something in Brisbane,” which so far, has been hard to do.
“We support music, artists and performers in Brisbane. When we get them involved in different events, I recognise that this is their chosen profession and they deserve some reimbursement for their work,” says Savage.
Lost Movement hold a regular event at Coniston Lane where artists apply to be a part of the event. If you haven’t heard of this yet, you may have seen some of their stuff at Harvest Festival. On top of this, they have just started a new show called Scribble Slam described as a “battle between pens”.
So if this sparks your interest, check out their website, Facebook. Heck, go to one of their events! It’s a great initiative and a growing community.
