Makeup Collections To Look Out For

| On 31, Jan 2015

New year, new me, new face! 2015 is set to be an exciting one in the beauty industry with brand new ranges and all new limited edition collections to stock up on before they all run out. It’s still early days but we’ve compiled a list of a few things to mark in year calendar in the next few months.

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

Sheer Glow is already described amongst the beauty community as HG – Holy Grail. But with only two foundation part of their permanent collection, this is an exciting release for all those Narsissists out there. Available in 20 shades and described as a “weightless drop” it’s said to be a happy medium for those who find Sheer Glow to be too oily and Sheer Matte to be too drying. Nars is making pretty big claims, promising it’ll last for 16 hours on average and a one pump application with full coverage, nevertheless Autumn cannot come fast enough.

Australis Velourlips – new shades

A little bit closer to home, Australis announced on their Instagram that five new shades would be added to their Velourlips collection. For anyone who is yet to try any Velourlips, the product comes highly recommended for those looking for a gloss to matte finish, particularly those wanting a Lime Crime Velvetine dupe. While no exact date has been given, they have advised all Instagram followers they will be hitting shelves “in a couple of weeks.”

Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection

The famous dupes for Sigma brushes which are dupes for MAC brushes, Real Techniques has launched their latest campaign for the new Bold Metals collection of brushes. All brush types will be different to the ones already in their permanent line. These will be a tad more expensive than ones we currently see in drugstores as they are being sold as “high quality” brushes as they are softer, heavier and of course made of better quality materials. Regardless of the cost however, this is a bit of a game changer for those who do use drugstore tools regularly.

No date has yet been given for their availability in Australia.

M.A.C. Cinderella Collection

Staying fairly tight lipped about this collection, it has been included in MAC’s 2015 calendar of releases. Following the Miley Viva Glam series, the Cinderella collection will be based around the Disney movie by the same name set to be released this March. Many are speculating it will be similar to the Lightness of Being Limited Edition collection, with sparkly cool tones and pearlescent pastels. And while there’s no photo available just yet, a few concept photos and prototype collections are floating around on the web for your viewing pleasure.
