MBFF Myer Spring Summer 14 Fashion Show

Kicking off the first of the evening shows for Mercedes-Benze Fashion Festival was the Myer Spring Summer 14 Fashion show.
Australia’s leading department store introduced the week with a bang with Myer Menswear Ambassador Kris Smith leading the show.
Over 75 new season looks were debuted over the circular runaway, featuring beloved Australian brands such as Sass & Bide, Cue, Charlie Brown, Cozi by Jennifer Hawkins, Seafolly and Wayne Cooper.
The show featured combinations of muted colours splashed with moments of bright colour, with most favouring clean tailored lines and structured fabric.
All of the looks embodied that fresh, crisp summer essence as the models floated down the runway.
My favourite looks:
Ellery stole the show for me, with the Japanese crepe top, black shorts and tranquil boxy floral jacket. I also loved their Freudian contrast staple shell top dress with split skirt.
The venue looked amazing, with the audience seated around the circular stage and also a standing room mezzanine section.
There is a fashion bar available for pre and post show drinks, with a complimentary sparkling wine included with your show ticket. This was a great chance to see all the chic outfits worn by attendees!
With the Myer S/S such as standout opening show, I am very excited to see what the rest of the week brings… I look forward to more beautiful designs worn by beautiful people in a beautiful location!
